In case you came to this blog some other way than being a reader of mine from Boolprop (or don't remember), S&S is/was/willbe a genetic legacy with custom rules:
- 26 Generations, with alphabet-legacy-style names, but not following the Alphabet Legacy rules, with a Catholic Saints name theme
- 13 Generations of Uglacy: try to make the most hideously disturbing Sim possible by Generation M
- 13 Generations of Prettacy: try to reverse the damage and make some beautiful Sims (note: my concept of 'beauty' may not match others') by Generation Z
- Legacy Sims born with 9 or 10 Nice become Family Sims, the "Saints"
- Legacy Sims born with 0 or 1 Nice become Romance Sims, the "Sinners"
- Sims with a Nice of 2-8 get random Aspirations based on a card drawn from a Tarot deck
- I will be doing various things to keep the money situation from being ridiculous, including forcing Sims to move the family periodically and forcing Generation M to restart on a newly-purchased lot when the heir becomes an adult
- I will be using 4x4 lots instead of 5x5, and yes, the Sim gets to use the extra money since I have other ways of trashing money in mind
- I will probably try to choose spouses based on positive chemistry and try to fulfill LTWs for heirs, as I generally just tend to go for that anyhow, but these aren't rules
There's a few other minor details that I haven't worked out, mainly to do with whether or not I'm going to re-enable ACR (I probably will), if I want to force a certain number of kids per generation (I probably won't), and how to handle the money droppage (Burnination Shack v2, Tithe to the Author, or possibly Give Lots of Gifts to Spares, which will probably be easiest). Also, when I restart it, the new founder will probably be a) more of a bishi guy and b) named something different.
Also, as I've mentioned in earlier posts, it will no longer be posted on the Offishul Site, so I sure hope that people don't suddenly pop up to tell me that the Picasa Method is unreadable.
Hey, I just thought of another idea for money droppage: make a vacation area with a really expensive hotel and make them go periodically.
ReplyDeleteAlso, sort of testing out the comments, and finding that firefox decided to reload the page infinatly until I allowed cookies for blogger ...
I'd rather get them a vacation lot, but in any event in a 26 generation legacy frequent vacations are probably out.
ReplyDelete(Yeah, I know I answered this in person but in case anyone else is reading.)
